Theodore Roosevelt and The River of Doubt

What I found while researching Theodore Roosevelt's journey, I stumbled upon several things. The first thing was that he began his journey on December 13th, 1913. He originally left for South America to visit his son Kermit Roosevelt. Once there the two Roosevelts left to travel the River of Doubt with a group of other travellers. During their travels, Teddy sliced his leg on a rock and became ill with malaria. Theodore then managed to overcome this illness. Years later, Theodore died and Kermit supposedly commited suicide.
